A website for local moms, by local moms!
Sugar Land Moms was created with the goal of building a community space that could offer valuable resources and exciting discoveries to local families. Working with local mom experts, we are here to become the go-to resource for all things Sugar Land! As our city continues to grow, we aim to cover everything related to Sugar Land (along with neighboring communities in Missouri City and Richmond) and the wonderful people who live here!
Our site is an ever-evolving community for moms who are seeking a #momtribe of their own, advice that is always honest, and a place to feel inspired & supported. We add new resources regularly to keep busy mamas in the loop and laughing! There’s an African proverb that says, “It takes a village to raise a child” and that’s just what we want to be — your very own Sugar Land village!
Meet the Mom Behind Sugar Land Moms: Sara Ahmed
Hi everyone! I’m a Chicago native who moved to Sugar Land back in 1997 (when we actually had cows grazing the pastures!) & knew almost immediately that I never wanted to live anywhere else.
I’m a writer & have worked with Popsugar and Babble (Disney) in the past and continue to be a writer-in-residence with the Houston nonprofit, Writers-in-the-Schools. When not writing or raising my little humans (2 boys, ages 10 & 5) with my husband, I love catching up with friends over coffee, shopping for skincare products that I don’t need and training for grueling marathons (Lol, everything but the last one).
I am so, so passionate about all things motherhood and building a community of moms who can count on each other. It has been a thrilling experience to build this platform and I can’t wait to connect with you mamas! Drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
